MetaForum
MetaForum is a new kind of forum that uses AJAX to update the threads and thread listings in real time, an advanced user karma system that allows for user based moderation, a clean, easy to use interface, advanced multi-post quoting, and many other revolutionary features.
Detail:
- Live, real time, thread listings and threads using AJAX
- PrivateThreads instead of Private Messages. pThreads let multiple users carry on a private conversation in the same way that PM's allow only 2 people to talk. Also the pThreads use live AJAX as well so its kind of a marraige between threads and an instant messenger.
- Multiple Post Quoting -- you can quote more than one post at a time, plus you can quote independent passages out of posts at the same time, and the quotes get wrapped in the correct tags for you in the reply box.
- User based moderation with viewing thresholds and user karma ratings -- somewhat like slashdot's karma system but better.
- A "Channel" forum and sub-forum system, in which you can view all channels at once, or one at a time, or selectively choose any combination of channel subforums to view all at once.
