Instead of implementing groups/usergroups, MyProBB uses a privilege system. Users have a default set of privileges and each forum in MyProBB is assigned a list of acceptable privileges. If a user has the same privilege as a forum privilege, they are granted associated permissions (e.g. the “Read Posts” permission). It is therefore possible to create very complex privilege scenarios with no need for groups.
